About the Authors
Katie Doering, BEd, PhD
Katie Doering is an educator who has been teaching and leading for nearly two decades at the private school she helped establish for children with medical needs and their families. Her passion for children's literature and inability to find books that represented her students' experiences promoted her to write Evabel - a book that responds directly to cancer patients' needs and wants. She lives in Toronto with her spouse, three children and cat. Katie regularly shares her knowledge and experiences in higher education settings teaching courses focused on literacy and inclusive education.
Krista Perdue
Krista Perdue is a best-selling children's author. Her debut, Wonderful Funderful YOU!, has been seen on displays such as Staff Pick, Teacher's Choice, May We Suggest, Celebrate Canada and Graduation Recommendation, at Indigos across Canada, and sold worldwide. She is regularly asked to share her stories with children in educational and community settings. She lives in Toronto, ON but will always call Niagara, ON home.
